Person A has $60, and Person B has $50. Person A is saving $10 per week, and Person B is saving $15 per week. How many weeks do they need to save before they have the same amount of money?

Question

Laravel · Accepted Answer

A Rationale: Person A and Person B will have the same amount of money after 2 weeks of saving.

After 2 weeks, Person A will have saved $20, resulting in a total of $80, while Person B will have saved $30, totaling $80 as well. The other time frames do not work since 2.7 weeks would not yield whole dollar amounts for their savings, and 10 weeks or 5 weeks would result in one person having more money than the other. Specifically, after 5 weeks, Person A would have $110 and Person B $107.50, thus not equalizing their amounts.
